Our Memberships include American Miniature Schnauzer Club (AMSC) and the Kennel Club of Buffalo. Wade has been honored by the AKC with the Breeder of Merit distinction.This tribute is bestowed on those breeders who consistently meet the high standards of the AKC and
who actively promote the sport of purebred dogs. The AKC issued the following statement The American Kennel Club is proud to recognize AKC Breeders of Merit who are dedicated to breeding beautiful purebred dogs whose appearance, temperament, and ability are true to their breed. These accomplished breeders are the heart of the AKC. His brother, Brian is a AKC Judge and a three term member of the AMSC Board of Directors. Both have been members of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club for over 30 years as well as several local all-breed kennel clubs.
The American Kennel Club recognized the name “Sumerwynd” as a prominent familial foundation in the Miniature Schnauzer breed. To receive this prestigious the AKC Registered Kennel Name distinction, breeders must be in good standing with the AKC with a record of breeding and registering Miniature Schnauzers in conformity with The American Kennel Club rules and regulations as well as documented involvement/participation in events like conformation and obedience shows. We adhere to the Constitution, By-Laws and Code of Ethics of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club.
