I have screened my adults for various health concerns in our breed over the years prior to finishing championships and breeding. I have tested some of my dogs with Dr. Jean Dodds, in Garden Grove, for Von Willebrand's Disease and thyroid, to rule out any genetic concerns. Other champions have had full blood panels at my regular vet to screen for any problems prior to breeding a litter.

I use the Modified Vaccine Protocol with my dogs and strongly recommend new owners continue this protocol. I feed only top quality food and offer my own dogs an indoor, dachshund-friendly environment. I expect the same for any puppy that leaves my home.
