A Visitor asked the following question on 3/17/2008
We are new to Aussies. We purchased an 11 week old puppy from a breeder yesterday. He seems to be adapting remarkably well to our home with 2 kids (7 and 3.5), two cats, and an almost 9 year old dalmatian. However, he has discovered a spot on the outside of our house by the back door (we have a fenced yard) and now wants to sleep out there and not come in. He has been following me around and seems to want to be with us until now. Is this normal? Could the turmoil in my house (kids, cats, etc) be driving him outdoors to find peace? Is he guarding? I have never had and Aussie before and do not know what is normal. Thanks for any help!
