It depends on how hlaethy your dog is and how much stamina he has. If you haven't walked him much in the past then work up to longer walks. It's the same for a human who hasn't exercised much take it easy in the beginning especially if your dog is at all overweight. Generally it's good to walk a little one like that at least 15-20 minutes twice a day.
