A Visitor asked the following question on 7/28/2008
I purchased a yorkie for the purpose of loving and breeding. She is 17 months old, 4 .4 pounds, wonderfull lines, great temperment and perfect health yet she has not had a heat. I have checked her daily for the last year. I have breed both cockers and maltes in the past and never had a problem. I have heard of "dry heats" but she has never flagged or anything of that nature... Any solutions or suggestions???

Hi, do you have a male there with her to be able to tell when she is in heat? I have 8 females and none of them bleed or even spot so the only way I know when they are in heat is when the male follows her and tries his business with her.
