My almost 15 year old ES, Patch, has renal failure. He had a stroke and seizure approx 5-6 weeks ago. We believe that was due to the Proin he was taking. He has recovered from the stroke, but now he refuses to eat the Hills KD diet. We takes Epakitin, Azodyl, and blood pressure meds. Also taking Pet Tinic as he has become anemic due to the renal issues. We have to give him 500cc fluid subq nightly to flush out his kidneys. Has anyone gone thru this with their setter? His blood work is improving with the exception of the Hgb. Any advice or info would be a help. Thanks so much, Nancy
