My toy fox terrier had a litter of 5 puppies. She seems to be spending less and less time feeding her puppies. Are they ready to be weaned? And if so, what do I feed them?

10/15/06 How old are the puppies? If they are over 3 weeks you may want to hand feed them some soft dogfood until they get teeth. It is normal for a mom to naturally ween the pups as they get teeth. Mary

11/5/06 I don't understand why people don't research before they breed...no at 3 wks old your pups can not be weaned...they will need to be bottle fed and since you didnt know that much your not going to know how to bottle feed without allowing fluid into the pupppies lungs and your going to kill them...before you breed .....read and learn...any idiot can put to dogs in a room and make puppies. This proves it Alexis & Steve
