Should receive firm, consistent training. Easily distracted if there is something more interesting to do!
Generally good, but supervise with small children.
Not to be left alone with small pets. Variable with cats. Adults will not back down from a fight if challenged and should be supervised with other dogs. Opposite-sex pairs tend to be best.
Adaptable, but do not like it very hot
Either, but like human company. Preferably indoors with family.
Not built to be running companions! Love rambling walks. Should be leashed in the company of other dogs. May give chase to rabbits, etc.
Regular brushing to prevent matts and tangles. Ideally should be stripped twice a year for comfort, and good coat growth.
