All German Pinschers should be health tested priod to breeding. You can find health testing results on the OFA website. The German Pinscher Club of America has more information about the club, and breeders of quality dogs. In the USA all German Pinschers should be registered with the AKC- the ONLY club recognized worldwide for our breed in the USA

German Pinscher Information
German Pinschers are an ancient breed and are actually the original Pinscher from which Dobes were bred up in size and Min Pins bred down. At one time, the Standard Schauzer and German Pinscher were the same breed. When a litter was born, the smooth coats were German Pinschers and the rough coated pups were Standard Schnauzers. German Pinschers are loyal and can be protective of their home and family. They are a hardy, healthy breed with very few problems. German Pinschers remain active and puppylike well into adulthood. The are smart and obedience training is a must.
