Stargazer's Kennels is located in rural Iowa. We raise Golden Retrievers for performance and companions on our 240 acres. We are near what is known as the “Top of Iowa”, a short drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota or Des Moines, Iowa. Our Golden Retrievers are primarily members of our family and our household. If you know us or our dogs, you might be amused by the word Kennels being part of our name. Our family of Goldens spends the majority of their time in our home, in the pool, or frolicking in the shady groves of lush green Iowa grass.
As serious hobby breeders we occasionally have carefully planned litters of quality AKC Golden Retriever puppies available to approved homes. Inquiries are welcome about potential Golden Retriever puppies and information will be available on this site as litters are expected. References are available, as many happy families across the country have made one of our puppies a member of their very own family. Our efforts exist with the purpose of improving on our own foundation family of Golden Retrievers and selectively implementing champion lines, hand picked for their genetics and phenotype so that we may accomplish and exceed our competitive goals. A strict preventative health program and genetic testing protocol, along with their all natural diet and abundance of green grass and sunshine, ensure our Golden Retriever adults and puppies are some of the happiest and healthiest you will find. We are striving to become more competitive as responsible breeders and exhibitors with our canine companions, and become actively involved with kennel clubs and breed associations on the local, state, and national level.
