We are looking for a dog that isn't very large and has little to no shedding. We came across the whippet (I have met a few and thought they were sweet) again in a book that we read abut picking the right breed. We are buying a one bedroom house on an acre with a fenced in yard pretty much in the middle of nowhere. We have a cat that is 3 but has lived with dogs before (A Rott and a Husky). I have read up on the Whippet and have gathered that as long as they are raised in a household with a cat, they would be alright. My husband wants a smaller companion that he can take for walks on the adjoining public land but that is not large once he is recovered from his foot surgery. I was wondering with all this in mind, would this dog truly be the breed fit for us??
