I got my rotty last year as a puppy. this year i got a kitten. they don't seem to get along. I haven't tried to put them in the same room. but when my rotty is tied up, my cat will lay just far enough where he can't reach. how do i get them to get along?

Rottweielers do well with other animals such as cats but need to be around them as puppies for this to happen, the rottweiler is probably too old to accept a kitten at this time. But the rottweiler on a chain is more likely to become aggressive than in a kennel. My suggestion would be try to introduce them between a puppy gate for a few days and go from there. If the rottweieler still don't accept it, its probably not ever going to.
