A Visitor asked the following question on 9/8/2004
I have a 11 yo wire fox who began 1 1/2 years ago with loss of apetite, vomiting/gagging, weight loss 24 lbs to 17 lbs and excess sleep. I have had him through some tests ( glucose, random cortisol, CBC, lytes,calcium, liver enzymes, and a few plain films). The best that I can get him is on prednisone 5 mg alt days and h2 blocker daily. His has some apetite gained 1 1/2 lbs but still gags and has trouble swallowing solids. There is no one locally to do gastroscopes. any thoughts would be appreciated.

Have you had him checked for cancer? Throat tumors?
