Is there such thing as a toy collie (a small collie)?

There is no such thing as a "toy collie". There is a dog colled a Shetland Sheepdog which looks a lot like a tiny collie, but they are a distinctively differet breed. The Shetland Sheepdog, or Sheltie as they are called, do come in all the colors of the collie as well as the bi-color black and white and blue merle and white with out tan points, which we don't have in the collie.
The collie was used in the development of the sheltie long ago, but the termperament of the sheltie is a bit different from the collie. Both collies and shelties make excellent pets in the right family who can provide for their needs both mentally and physically. Both breeds can be barkers if they are left to entertain themselves.
