A Visitor asked the following question on 2/11/2008
My 7 month old Aussie is TERRIFIED of the dog brush. He will not let me get anywhere near him with it. If I am able to catch him off guard as soon as the brissles touch his coat he jumps up and acts as if he is going to growl and just runs away.
Has anyone had their Aussie behave this way?
I thought that the brissles were possibly painful to him so I tried a different type of brush but got the same results.
I tried leaving it down on the ground so he would be used to seeing it, but he just chews on it and pounces on it.
Any ideas on what can be done to rid him of his fear of the brush?
