AfterAll is a small hobby kennel raising Wire Fox Terriers in Rockton, IL. While we breed to produce high quality show dogs, many of our puppies will go to loving, responsible pet homes. We stay in contact with our pet owners and provide continuing support for the lifetime of the dog. Pet and show pups alike are raised with the best of everything we can give them. We are especially interested in providing the handling and socializing techniques that puppies need to have stable temperaments, be trainable and to reach their full potential.
The sires and dams of our puppies are AKC Champions with many more champions in their pedigrees. Our dogs are healthy,happy excellent examples of the breed with friendly, outgoing personalities. Health, temperament, personality and beauty are all important to us. As stated in the Fox Terrier Club of the UK, "As a breed the Wire is a hardy dog that doesn’t suffer from many health problems and any problems they do have tend to be as individuals and non-breed specific. The breed’s hardy constitution and known longevity has never led to the need for breed testing for clinical or hereditary defects."
All pet puppies are sold on spay/neuter contracts with limited AKC registration. We are members of the American Fox Terrier Club, the Wire Fox Terrier Club of the Central States and the Fox Terrier Club of Chicago. We abide by the clubs' Code of Ethics.
The AfterAll website has many articles, pictures and links to help interested families learn more about the breed. Our current show dogs are featured there along with letters and pictures from some of our pet/companion families. Upcoming or current litters will be listed there with pictures and pedigrees. Sample contracts and applications for puppies may also be viewed on the website. Families interested in our puppies should begin by filling out our "no obligation" application.
Because we are very careful about where we place our puppies, we will want to get to know our prospective families well and encourage them to get to know us. We rarely have more than one or two litters a year. Most are spoken for before they are born so serious buyers might want to ask to be put on our waiting list. We do not ship young puppies. We do occasionally have a retired champion or young adult to place. Emails and phone calls are welcomed. Visits to the kennel are by appointment only.
