At what age does a long haired dashund get their long hair...or do they have it at 10 weeks.

Long hair pups are born with their hair. If you are not a breeder and are unsure of what type of coat they have it may take a week to two weeks to determine the coat of the puppy, but by the time they reach 4 weeks you know the coat type. Some pups are born with different coat types, some are pet coats, where they dont ever really get a full coat and others have the full coat. Usually it can take up to a year to get in their full coat and tail feathers and it can continue to grow after that.
