I'm thinking of a getting a corso in a couple of years...just in the research stages right now. Currently I'm a university student with a dog from my local spca. As with most rescues improper socialization as a puppy (i assume anyway)has created some behavior and domanince problems. We've worked through most of them in training classes and he's coming along nicely. I'm just wondering what methods seem to work best for Corso's (generally i mean, individual varience assumed), as everything I've read suggests a highly trainable companion, though a dominant one. For my Sam, after trying just about everything else to no avail, I've had to move to a prong collar (after discussion with trainer, vet, and lots of internet research), and despite my reservations, he's doing quite well with it. It's just been a while since I've had a puppy, so I'd like to get on the right track to starting things off right so I don't have to re-train later!! Thanks
