Discharge with false pregnancy
I've got a bitch that is having a false pregnancy. She thinks she's due within the next 3 -4 days. I've been through this with her before so I wasn't too worried about it, but this morning she's got a creamy discharge. I don't recall that from her previous false pregnancy, and the vet isn't open yet to ask, so I thought I'd see if anyone here had experienced something similar. | | |

May just be a minor Vaginal infection.. but the timeline is right for a possible pyometra.. so any vaginal discharge during diesterus psudopregnant or not is of concern...
I call the vet and get her checked over just to be safe..

Well, I got my answer the other night. She was actually pregnant. She delivered a single puppy -- very healthy, both are doing well.
We knew she had been bred, but didn't know that she was actually carrying a litter. She's faked us out two previous times with false pregnancies. It was a very welcome surprise.

Thank you! She's a tricky one all right - she never showed a bit.
