This question probly has been posted many many times and sorry if I repeat. But Our dog is crate trained but with some problems. He pees outside but refuses to poop outside He poops in his crate or in the house. I know I know it's our fault but we cant seem to get it right. We have tried just about anything and everything we can think of. He will pee then think it's time to play or runs back to the door wanting in. We do go out with him and watch him. When he does do it right and goes both outside we reward him with a treat and praise him. Any ideas will be welcome for sure.

I have been having the same problem with my Pom. "Persistance" is the only advice I can give. My pom was crate trained. Had a death in the family. Took the 5 month old pom to P.A. with us. Did great on the trip. When we got back to M.D. he acted like he was never trained in his life! We had to start "all over" again
Using "puppy pads" (I really hate those things) for emergencys at the back door.
Sometimes it takes 1/2 an hour of standing with him outside before he will "make" after he pees. I know first hand that paientence is the last thing we as puppy owners want to hear. If your puppy has been veted, and all checks out with him, just keep trying
It does sound a little unusual for him to be deficating in his crate. See what your vet says. I wish you all the luck in the world

I agree with John123... start off with the vet. You want to be sure there are no issues with digestion or diet.
