HI,
I BREED YORKSHIRE TERRIERS, I HAVE 7 FEMALES AND 2 MALES THAT LIVE TOGETHER. I TURNED MY GARAGE INTO A KENNEL ROOM AND THEY STAY IN THERE OR RUN IN MY FENCED YARD. FOUR OF MY FEMALES AGES 9-14 MONTHS HAVE NOT HAD THERE FIRST HEAT CYCLE YET. ANYBODY HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

They all run together? You wont have AKC registered ones,then unless you pay for two sires on each litter. They have to verify thru DNA testing who the daddy is... I'd say you just havent noticed their first heat as they are sneaky about it the first time. Many wait til 9-10 months old for first heat. Check to make sure you are feeding a high quality feed and deworming regularly as that can influence their health alot. For fleas, Dont use any anti itching cream (with steroids)- cortisone- as that causes abortions. carteryorkies
