How are the Tsvetnaya Bolonka's groomed?

I realize this question was posted years ago...before I even joined. But it is a question many ask to this day. The bolonka is groomed many ways...you can leave the coat long or trimmed. Maintaining the long coat: If your bolonka has the wavy or curly coat you will want to emphasize this by allowing the coat to airdry a bit after the bath. After the bath (I use a creme rinse). Apply your choice of detangler and gently comb with a wide tooth metal comb/pick. I wait, then blow dry on low setting. Last I lightly mist the coat with a light conditioning spray or oil and pull the bangs into a band to keep the hair out of their eyes.
SHORT/TRIMMED: Trim the coat to any length that suits your personal tastes and what you can maintain. Try to keep the beard/mustache longer...as this is one of the breed traits. I personally will trim the body short leaving the tail, head long...with a top knot. You can visit my blog for photos of my bolonka in a variety of coat lengths and styles. T
