My toy poodle is 7 months old and her coat is still very soft and fine. Also, her coat is relatively straight. When, if at all, will her coat start to become courser and curlier.

The coat can start to change as early as 7 months of age and take as long as 18 months . Some poodle coats are naturally very curly and thick from the start .I would ask the breeder when the Dam and Sire's adult fur came in . It will give you a good idea of when your pups adult fur will come in .
