wait until third heat (bones in spine should be mature enough to carry the extra weight) and then no more often than every other heat, so she can rebuild calcium and iron before a new litter deprives her. First, find a reputable stud with a breeding contract you can live with (pick of litter works well for guaranteeing live litter). Make sure your stud is excellent in any areas your bitch may be less than standard in.
GET THE AKC STANDARD and apply to your dog and the chosen stud. Wrong stud makes bad litter - what was the good of breeding your bitch Down?
