I have a 6year old shih tzu can i still breed her ,shes never had a male before. is it ok

She isn't too old, but you need to know what you're doing with these little guys or you may lose the bitch and the litter. They often have problems tearing umbilicals and respiratory failure is common. --you sure you want to do this? --
