I have never heard of a Chinese Imperial, nor did I find any information at the AKC website. First,I would question if it is an actual breed or something someone made up since it isn't found at AKC.org then second that is a question you would want to ask the person you are purchasing the dog from. Some breeds are just known to be quite vocal, like the hounds. In the Shih Tzu breed, if a baby is taken from it's mother and siblings to early and not given the appropriate time for proper socialization and rearing by it's mom they usually become barkers or extremely skiddish. In the Shih Tzu breed according to the American Shih Tzu Club a puppy should not ever leave it's mother and siblings before 12 weeks of age. This ensures proper socialization to make a well rounded adult dog. One you won't wish you had not gotten nor one you would consider taking to the pound. Hope this helps. Pam
