What is the best way to keep a sheltie cool in summer? do you shave them\just their tummy or leave the hair long??

Keep the dog misted down with cool water. Freeze a pop bottle and give that to them to lay against. And groom out the dead hair (undercoat) as needed. Never trim the hair down completely as the hair has a tendency to grow back wavy and worse.
