Many years ago I had a sheltie that lost all of his hair on his chest and belly and he had a pot belly apperance, the vet clinic we went to could not diagnose what was wrong with him They kept doing test after test. he just kept getting worse. and he ended up dying before they could figure what was wrong. I still wonder what it was. I've been told Thyroid but wouldn't the vet clinic have found that? It's bothered me ever since it happened because Jake was the best friend I had as a Child.
I want to get another Sheltie but I am afraid this might happen again.
Any Ideas as to what it might have been? I would appreciate any help. Thanks!
