Do Shiba Inu's typically swim well? I have a boat, so want to make sure the breed is comfortable around water.

Some shibas do like water. Most of mine do not. I have one female that loves water but she is the only one at my house that does.
Introduce the shiba to water a little at a time and it might learn to like water.
