If they are both females and they are fighting, it means that one of them, possibly the older one is coming into heat. I have two girls at home that get into fights when either one is in heat. I usually separate them, but the only way I can do it is to stick something in between. If you try to separate them by grabbing one, you may get beaten in the process. You can eliminate the problem if you spay them.

I have 6 females that live together and its best to let them work things out because if you get in the middle of it they will keep fighting more I have found. Its best to let dogs settle things by themselves. watch the dog whisperer

I have Six dogs husky's and Beligan Malnois and they all live together my one dog is fourteen and all my other dogs age's are 2 and 3 years of age my female huskys have gotten into it and i have pulled them apart. they are fine now because they know the only one that is the Alpa Dog in the house is Me. You have to correct bad behavior right away in a firm and calm way. At let them know you are the boss. no one else!!! Lydia

That's true, Lydia! You must show them that you are the alpha dog in the house. I also have a pair that I recently had to put together for space, and the girl is very dominant and wants to dominate the boy. However, I have again shown them that I am the boss, and they have stopped.
