A Visitor asked the following question on 3/25/2007
When is the correct time to spay a female? I have been told that you should do it earlier than 6 months (which is when I got my male neutered) or it could cause health problems later on, but I can not find any info on when to get it done. Thank you

They say it should be done before the first heat cycle. Which is supposed to reduce the risk of mammary tumors. Because the female horomones have not kicked in yet.
