As the name implies, they are native to Siberia. More specifficly they are native to the coastal region of Siberia. They lived in harmony with the Chuckcki People. The pure srtain of Seppala's imported stock is known as the Seppala Siberian Sled Dog. J.Jeffery Bragg had the most isolated strain of that original line. His site has a wealth of information about the origin of the breed.
