I have a beutiful Male Husky. I have people calling me from all over Florida wanting to breed their females with my Male. What is the average stud fee? I have gotten up to $1000, and also turned down someone that offered me $200.

Hello,
When I am seeking a stud dog, these are the questions I ask the stud dog owner...
1. Is your male at least 2 years of age?
2. Do you have an OFA?
3. Do you have a current CERF?
4. Does your dog have a title (conformation, obedience, agility)?
5. Does he meet the AKC breed standard for height, coat length, tail carriage/set, topline, etc. etc.
6. What can you tell me about his parents, grandparents, siblings? Have you met them?
7. What is his temperament like?
8. Does he have a current brucellosis test?
9. If previously bred, do you have information on the offspring?
10. What consitutes an approved female for breeding to your male?
If there are satisfactory answers to all of those questions, and if I feel that the male will compliment my female for health, structure, and temperament reasons, then I would pay between $800 - $1200 for the stud service without puppies back.
