Pugs are harder to potty train. We use potty pads or peepee pads. I have a friend who has kitty litter trained her pugs. She says it works great. Also, try spending an entire week following your pugs around. Don't take your eyes off them. Soon you'll be able to tell when they want to go and you can take them outside. It's a pain, but really it's the only way to completely train your dog to go outside. Walks are good too. Boys are definately excited about peeing on new things.
