depends on the male pug. But generally never before 2 years old. Male dogs (contrary to popular belief) don't always know what to do, and need to be trained. This will involve you doing some research and reading on Studding, and You have to learning ( yes you will have to touch those private areas) how to teach your male to breed a female. hope this helped a bit...
