Our 7 year old pug was always very active. REcently he started limping and refusing to bear weight on his rear left leg. Now his entire rear is very weak and he walks with his back hunched up. He spent one night at the vet's and had his legs x-rayed. Initially the diagnosis was water on the knee, and now the vet is stumped. He suggested a spinal tap, but the cost is prohibitive. We have already spent almost $500 and he is no better. Blood work was unremarkable. Any suggestions?
