my female pom and my male pom mated 8/17/07 one time only the last two bottom nipples are small but the base around her nipples seems swollen and the base part of the nipples are dark is she pregnant or not pregnant

Some females will display what you are describing after they have been in season, even when they are not bred, so it is not a sure sign that she is pregnant. You can have her palpated by your vet at about 4 weeks, and by 5 weeks, she will begin to look a bit fuller in the middle. Some females will have a clear, gooey discharge that sticks to their coat and collects dirt. That is usually a good sign they are expecting.
