Pomeranian Questions

A Visitor asked the following question on 5/26/2007
It is when their kneecap pops out of place or where the tendon on the side of the knee pulls out of place. If your pom starts hopping on his leg or holding one up when walking or playing it could be a luxated patellar. If they are doing that and stretching there leg out as far as they can after playing or whatever, they are popping it back in place. Basically it is where the groove that the joint is in is too shallow and there knee cap pops out. It can be heritatary. I know this because my male pom has just this. There are different stages of this, and there is surgury to correct it. But it's not recommended unless it is really bad.
