A Visitor asked the following question on 3/23/2007
I have a female blue merle pomeranian and a sable and white parti male. What colors of puppies do you think I'll get with them?

What you have are two PATTERNED dogs. Much depends on what colors are behind them. Parti is recessive and must be in both pedigrees, although you could produce puppies with a white chest or white feet, which are called "parti-factored." I have no personal experience with the merle, but I have been told you can get merle out of a merle, bred to almost anything, but to never breed a merle to a merle. Now for the colors behind the 2, you could get almost any color. For example, if both had say, chocolate behind them, you might get that. Always an adventure!
