we just found out that our 1yr old has a problem with her knee & its likely its genetic. Is it still possible to breed her with her brother if we are only breeding her for our own to keep? We plan to get an operation on her knee & her brother's if need be, but what is the possibity of her pups also having the problem?

No no no! She should not be bred and certainly not with her own brother. Inbreeding can have diasterous results and should only be done by a highly educated very experienced breeder. It would be highly likely that all resulting puppies would need knee surgery also. Please save yourself some serious exspences and heartbreak DO NOT BREED THAT DOG!
