My Pomeranian is 11 months old and already in her second heat. The breeder I purchased her from said it was safe to breed her in her second heat but i decided to do some research on the computer and I keep getting different answers... Is it safe to breed her? What are the chances of her needing a C-section.. And how often do things go wrong during pregenency and birth. My pom is very dear to me and im very worried..

When I began breeding my poms I chanced breeding my little girl at 1 year of age; her second heat. to my suprise, she rejected all three puppies because she was too young to become a mom. The delivery it's self scared her to death! I will never bred another dog until she is at least 1 1/2 yrs old. I have since bred her at age 2 - She delivered 4 beautiful puppies without one bit of trouble AND she is a fantastic MOM - Just my suggestion
