my Norwich is a year and a half. He gets quite a bit of exercise and is on a premium diet. Problem is he weighs about 18 pounds. Do you have any suggestions?

If he is not fat, then 18 pounds is his normal weight and is genetic. Other then a leaner diet or less food at a time, not much you can do about it. If he is fat, and you give him access to food all the time or more then the recommended amount on the dog food bag, that's your problem. Terriers are chow hounds and will overeat if you don't feed them a set amount as recommended on the dog food bag.
