I loved my nr. elkhund for 15 devoted years Has there been any elkhounds winning a national champ I root for them all the way and they never get chosen !

Depending on what show you are referring to ... Elkhounds frequently get group placements at Westminster and have several times been in the best in show ring, but I don't believe have ever won best in show, at least not in the last 30 years or so.
