As a child living in Hunting Valley, Ohio, I was told that Mr. & Mrs. T. White were the first to import the N.Elkhounds to the U.S. The dogs name was Kari of Halfred, I believe. I later owned Lancer of DeWende, I traced him back to Kari. I lived on Halfred Farms. They had a kennel there plus.
