I've had a neo that has had that problem before. After about 4 months, the antibiotics worked, you may want to keep trying what the vet gave you until you ABSOULUTLY feel like there is no use for it. What kind of shampoo do you use when you bathe him?

Keeping the skin dry and clean will reduce the problems with the skin normally. Usually it is a staph infection or yeast infection that causes this.
Some Mastini also develop this condition and it can be food related. So there are several things to look at. If it is staph, the antibiotics should work quite quickly on the skin problem, if not you may want to look to possible food allergies. Chicken is a common ingredient that can cause allergies affecting the skin.
