A Visitor asked the following question on 4/25/2007
I have 2 small children, and two small dogs. would a male or female be more tolerant? Does drooling depend more on the head size or male or female? Is male or female more likely to destroy lawn. Thanks for any info.

I would think this would be personal preference on Male Vs Female, I have 4 and they all get along with kids or anyone. All mastiffs drool, mine mostly when they drink or chew on bones. But all you need to do is wipe it with a towel. All of my mastiffs are house dogs, I keep a fresh bucket of water on the porch daily for them then clean them up before they come back in. This keeps down the drooling in the house.
I have not noticed it tearing up the yard.
