we have a very alpha rottie...loveable, but spoiled.we wii be taking in a 1 year mastiff...a very calm loveable clown. both dogs are fixed and we have a large home and yard. any advice on getting them together? we love both animals! thanks,lorraine

This may not be an easy transition!!!! So learn as much as you can before they meet. This meeting should NOT be at your home. Take them to classes or to the park. Then when they are ready to be friends, walk them home together. Make sure you have two crates (not in the same room) to put them in when tension get high. They should not be allowed to roam free unless completely supervised until they are at ease with each other. The best thing you can do, Go to formal training with both dogs!
