Mini schnauzer puppy (DOB 5/14/05)
Last puppy out and is a bit smaller than the other 3 pups.
Issue: He s not up on all 4 legs like other 3 pups. Gets up on front legs but goes no farther. Vet checked him out and said there is no sign of spine or hip issue. Muscles are just not as developed in his hind legs. Told breeder to feed him yogurt and to exercise him. Has anybody had any experience with this sort of issue. I have purchased the pup from a breeder in Texas and just want as much info on possible explanations for this issue. Is it even an issue or is he just a bit behind the other 3 pups in terms of growth and development? Any ideas?

I have a friend in Alaska that just had a litter a couple of months ago, and she had one pup that had a similar situation. The pup is NOW doing fine and you can't tell there was EVER an issue at all. That does not mean that is the same case here, but I wanted to let you know I have heard of it. I am also a breeder and have never had the same situation. I have had many litters. There are a lot of things you can ask a breeder to insure the responsibility of their methods. If you would like to be given a lesson on what to ask a breeder, feel free to give me a call.
