The answer to your questions is yes, they can be. Even though many people say they are not purebreds and can not be AKC registerd, that is not correct. A White Miniature Schnauzer can be registered with AKC (I own 1 and breed Whites), but they just are not accepted as a show color.

Yes Pure white Schnauzers are capable of being purebred both through Akc and Ckc and Yes you can show a white Schnauzer not in Akc Standard Classes but Other classes. Same as my livers, you can't show them in a Akc standard class but they can compete in other Akc classes. And with CKC Continental Kennel Club You can show a white Schnauzer in all classes as they are considered a standard color through their registry..
