SOMETIMES RAISES HIS PAW AND ITS CURLED WHAT DOES
THIS MEAN? ALSO DO SCNAUZERS OF TODAY STILL HAVE
THE ABILITY TO KILL RATS?

yes John they can still kill.My Niki is a house dog but she still loves to hunt on our 2 acres.She is also a better mouser than our cats.We make sure we take her prey away once she has caught it. We would prefer she not hunt but it is instinct. That is what they were breed for.
